GAC Quark Electric Drive wins top honor at Geneva Inventions Exhibition

GAC Group’s Quark Electric Drive technology has received the Gold Medal with the Congratulations of the Jury at the 51st International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva. The award recognizes the project “Key Precision Manufacturing Technologies and Applications for Low-Loss Stator Cores Based on Ultra-Thin Amorphous Materials.”

By utilizing ultra-thin amorphous materials in the motor stator core, the technology reduces energy loss, allowing for more efficient power usage. The Quark Electric Drive 2.0 motor achieves a peak efficiency of 99.03%, while the overall electric drive system reaches a CLTC operating efficiency of 94.184%. This advancement can extend a vehicle's driving range by 30 to 50 kilometers using the same battery capacity.

The technology is currently being applied to Chinese market models, including the AION N60, 2027 AION RT, and 2027 AION i60. GAC plans to expand the application of this high-efficiency drive technology to more models as it enters mass production.
