Gaúcho cultural traditions celebrated in Rio Grande do Sul
Cultural celebrations of Gaúcho traditions took place in Rio Grande do Sul, featuring the arrival of the 'Chama Crioula' and a regional poetry competition.
In Três Coroas, the 22nd Traditionalist Region held an integration event for young traditionalists at CTG O Tropeiro. The gathering included activities to preserve historical customs and a ceremony to receive the 'Chama Crioula' spark, which was distributed to local traditionalist entities. The event was attended by regional authorities and figures such as Luiza Tormes, the 2nd Prenda of Rio Grande do Sul.
In Bento Gonçalves, the 2nd 'Vindima do Verso Gaúcho' brought together over 50 participants for a competition focused on various forms of 'trova' (improvised verse), including Pajada, Trova Campeira, Estilo Gildo de Freitas, and Trova de Martelo. Supported by the Bento Gonçalves Municipal Culture Fund, the event aimed to promote and strengthen popular cultural expressions in the Serra Gaúcha region.
