Gachon University Gil Hospital receives top medical quality rating

Gachon University Gil Hospital has achieved the highest ‘1-Ga’ grade in the Ministry of Health and Welfare’s 2026 medical quality assessment. The hospital was among only eight institutions selected from a pool of 374 medical facilities evaluated across 55 indicators in six key areas, including patient safety, medical quality, publicness, and research and development.

The hospital received high marks in patient safety categories such as infection control, antibiotic use, and intensive care safety. It also demonstrated excellence in treating major diseases like cancer and cerebrovascular disorders, as well as in public services including emergency and intensive care. This follows a previous achievement where the hospital ranked 9th out of 47 general hospitals in a national patient experience evaluation.
