Gadi Eisenkot warns of Iran's power and criticizes Netanyahu's Gaza strategy

Gadi Eisenkot, leader of the Yesh Atid party, has issued several critiques regarding Israel’s military and political strategy. Speaking on the ‘All In’ podcast, Eisenkot stated that Iran possesses significantly more power than is commonly perceived and argued that air power alone cannot trigger regime change in the country.

Regarding the conflict in Gaza, Eisenkot characterized Hamas as a resilient force, claiming the movement still maintains approximately 30,000 armed personnel. He criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s rhetoric about dismantling Hamas, calling his statements ‘just talk,’ and pledged that his own leadership would prioritize the group's dissolution.

Eisenkot also addressed the timeline for Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip, suggesting a full exit could take years depending on the fulfillment of specific demands. Furthermore, he dismissed the possibility of an immediate political solution for the West Bank, stating that any plan to create a two-state solution or annex millions of Palestinians would be a ‘very bad idea.’ He concluded by accusing the Netanyahu government of failing to learn lessons from the October 7 attacks.
