Gaeta road accident claims lives of two 19-year-olds

Two 19-year-old residents of Gaeta, Pierluca Pascali and Eugenio Vellotti, have died following a road accident. The crash occurred shortly after 1:00 AM on the night between Sunday, August 23, and Monday, August 24, on Lungomare Caboto along the SS 213 Flacca.

Gaeta Mayor Cristian Leccese expressed profound grief for the community, noting that the loss of both young men has left an incalculable void. He extended condolences to the families, specifically mentioning the difficult circumstances of Pierluca’s family, who had previously lost his father, Dino Pascali, a well-known radio personality.

In response to the tragedy, Mayor Leccese emphasized the absolute priority of human life protection and the necessity of improving road safety in the area.
