Gagasan Rakyat Sabah restructures Kinabatangan division

Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) has established a new provisional committee for the Kinabatangan division as part of a major organizational restructuring. This reorganization shifts the party’s divisional basis from State Legislative Assembly (DUN) constituencies to Parliamentary constituencies.

Datuk Masiung Banah, the Vice President of GRS and representative for Kuamut, has been appointed as the Kinabatangan Division Chief. The new structure unifies the three DUN areas of Sukau, Lamag, and Kuamut under a single divisional command to streamline party operations and coordination.

Key leadership appointments include Datuk Juhari Janan as Deputy Division Chief and Datuk Abu Bakar Gapar as Deputy Division Chief. The provisional committee also includes leadership for the party’s Women, Youth, and Young Women wings, as well as roles for Information Chief, Secretary, and Treasurer. The restructuring is part of a broader constitutional amendment within Gagasan Rakyat aimed at strengthening the party’s organizational reach across Sabah.
