GAHAR and Temos International sign agreement to boost Egypt medical tourism

The General Authority for Healthcare Accreditation and Regulation (GAHAR) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Temos International to enhance the quality of healthcare facilities and support medical tourism in Egypt.

The agreement was signed by GAHAR Chairman Dr. Ahmed Taha and Temos International Executive Director Dr. Claudia Mika on the sidelines of the 42nd ISQua International Conference held in Dublin, Ireland. The partnership aims to foster cooperation in quality and accreditation, facilitate the exchange of international expertise, and build the capacity of Egyptian healthcare facilities to meet specialized safety and patient experience requirements for international patients.

Dr. Ahmed Taha emphasized that the collaboration is part of an effort to expand international partnerships and strengthen global confidence in Egypt's healthcare services. He noted that successful medical tourism requires an integrated system covering the entire patient journey, from pre-arrival to post-treatment follow-up, including care safety, communication quality, and staff efficiency.
