Gaia Tortora to discuss Enzo Tortora case in Viterbo

Gaia Tortora will participate in a public event in Viterbo on October 27 to discuss the judicial case of her father, the late television host Enzo Tortora. The meeting, held at the Fondazione Carivit and the Unindustria auditorium, focuses on her book, ‘Testa alta, e avanti. In cerca di giustizia, storia della mia famiglia’.

During the session, Gaia Tortora will be interviewed by Massimo Pistelli and Carlo Galeotti regarding the legal errors and media scrutiny that defined her father's life. Enzo Tortora, a well-known host of the program ‘Portobello’, was arrested in Rome in 1983 following allegations of links to the Nuova Camorra Organizzata.

After an initial ten-year prison sentence in 1985, the Court of Appeal in Naples fully acquitted him in 1986, a decision later confirmed by the Court of Cassation in 1987. The event aims to reflect on the relationship between judicial processes, media information, and the presumption of innocence.
