Gaiarooms expands hotel portfolio using automated management technology

Gaiarooms, a hospitality company founded by Enrique Domínguez, specializes in acquiring and managing small-scale hotels that are often overlooked by major investors. These properties typically feature fewer rooms, are located in remote areas, or are family-run businesses facing profitability challenges.

The company utilizes digital processes to automate routine tasks, allowing for hotel management without the need for 24-hour staffed receptions. This model significantly reduces labor costs, shifting the staff ratio from approximately four employees in a traditional hotel to one under the Gaiarooms model.

Since its inception during the 2020 pandemic, the company has grown from eight establishments to 135 hotels, comprising roughly 2,500 accommodation units including rooms and tourist apartments. The company expects to reach a turnover of 42 million euros this year, with a projected EBITDA of nearly 4 million euros.
