Gaighata student found dead following suspected rape and murder

The body of an eleventh-grade student was discovered Sunday morning in front of a neighbor's bathroom in Gaighata, North 24 Parganas. Local residents found the victim's mutilated body, leading to widespread tension and calls for justice in the area.

The victim had been attending a Bijoya Sammilani event in the Gaighata Bazar area on Saturday night with her family and neighbors. According to her family, she left the event around 11:30 PM after receiving a phone call. She was not seen again until her body was discovered the following morning.
