Gail Bean and Isaiah John discuss FX series ‘The Drop’

Actors Gail Bean and Isaiah John have shared insights into their roles in the new FX series, ‘The Drop: A Snowfall Saga’. Set in 1990s Los Angeles during the rise of West Coast rap, the series follows characters Wanda Bell and Leon Simmons as they attempt to reinvent themselves.

Bean described Wanda as a character who has transformed her history of addiction and survival into ambition. She noted that while Wanda is fearless due to her past experiences, she is also “fearless but tired.” The series explores whether the characters can outrun their traumatic histories to build new lives.
