Gaingo introduces electric motorcycles in Zambia

Gaingo, a Zambia-based electric mobility venture associated with Smartcity, is introducing electric motorcycles and battery-swapping services to the country’s expanding last-mile delivery economy.

As urban commerce grows, the demand for efficient small-parcel and food delivery services has increased the importance of two-wheel transport. Gaingo’s model aims to improve operating efficiency by utilizing battery-swapping infrastructure. This allows riders to exchange depleted batteries for charged units immediately, avoiding the productivity losses associated with long charging times during working hours.
