Gaiole in Chianti prepares for 29th L’Eroica cycling event

The 29th edition of L’Eroica is scheduled to take place in Gaiole in Chianti on October 3 and 4. The international cycling event draws thousands of participants to the white roads of the Chianti region to celebrate traditional cycling and the local landscape.

In preparation for the event, the Consorzio di Bonifica 6 Toscana Sud has conducted cleaning operations on the Chianti torrent. This intervention, coordinated with the Municipality of Gaiole in Chianti, involved removing excess invasive vegetation from the hydraulic section to ensure visitor safety and enhance the environmental and aesthetic value of the area. Mayor Michele Pescini noted that the maintenance serves to showcase the territory's identity during this significant international window.
