Gajah Trail Run Ultra 2026 attracts 900 runners to Central Java

The Gajah Trail Run (GTR) Ultra 2026, now in its fourth year, attracted 900 runners from seven countries to the Semarang Regency in Central Java. Participants navigated a challenging course spanning Mount Gajah, Mount Telomoyo, and Mount Kendil, with the longest 52-kilometer category featuring elevations of approximately 3,000 meters.

Race Director Sri Agus Budi Santoso reported an increase of about 200 participants compared to the previous year. The event's international reach also expanded, with runners arriving from nations including New Zealand, France, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Beyond the athletic competition, the event is expected to generate significant local economic activity, with estimated participant spending reaching approximately Rp4.5 billion within the village area.
