Gakken Group announces new educational support and digital library services

Gakken Holdings and its subsidiaries have announced two new initiatives aimed at expanding educational support and digital resources.

Gakken L Staffing, through Gakken WILL Gakuen and Gakken Home Tutor Visit Support Office, will host a free online individual consultation week from August 24 to August 30, 2026. The program is designed for elementary, junior high, and high school students experiencing school refusal or difficulty attending school, as well as their parents. The sessions aim to help families organize their current situation and explore future options, such as alternative learning environments or communication methods, with the ability for parents to consult alone or for students to participate with cameras turned off.

Separately, Glats Co., Ltd., which operates the online Chinese conversation service ‘CC LESSON’, has introduced a new membership benefit. Starting July 21, 2026, subscribers to specific lesson plans can access ‘Gakken Book Up’, a digital library service, at no additional cost. This benefit provides unlimited access to over 2,000 books, including educational materials for children and professional development books for adults, and is available to the subscribers' family members as well.
