Gala das Campeãs Record BPI to honor women's football and futsal

The fourth edition of the Gala das Campeãs Record BPI will take place next Tuesday at the Casino Estoril. The event celebrates achievements in women's football and futsal in Portugal, featuring the announcement of the best XI of the Liga BPI 2025/26 as voted by players, as well as honors for futsal.

In women's football, Benfica has demonstrated domestic dominance, securing its sixth consecutive championship and the Portuguese Cup. On the international stage, the national team, led by Francisco Neto, won Group 3 of the Nations League to secure promotion to League A and will face Northern Ireland in a playoff for the 2027 World Cup. Additionally, the U-20 national team is participating in the World Cup in Poland.

In women's futsal, the national team, led by Luís Conceição, is preparing for the Elite Round to qualify for next year's European Championship. Domestically, Benfica also reclaimed the title from Nun'Álvares, winning both the Portuguese Cup and the Super Cup. The municipality of Cascais is supporting the event, highlighting the importance of visibility for female athletes and coaches.
