Galatasaray celebrates 26th title in Turkey and Brussels

In Bandırma, Turkey, the local Galatasaray Association organized a celebration for the club’s 26th league title at the Parmos Hotel in Erdek. The event featured speeches by association president Hakan Yücel, club president Dursun Özbek, and Bandırma mayor Dursun Mirza. The championship trophy was displayed, a plaque was presented to founder Cengiz Akıncı, and signed jerseys were auctioned.

In Brussels, fans gathered at Grand‑Place where mayor Philippe Close and Galatasaray president Dursun Özbek addressed the crowd. The celebration included a surprise appearance by former player Dries Mertens, the gifting of a Galatasaray shirt to the mayor, and acknowledgments of the Turkish diaspora’s support.
