Turkish clubs grapple with player disputes and costly transfer setbacks

Kayserispor announced that the Turkish Football Federation Arbitration Board’s decision of 12 June 2026 annulled the previous ruling in the dispute involving player Onur Bulut and Beşiktaş, sending the case back to the Dispute Resolution Committee for further review after the club averted a 36 million TL loss.

Defender Adil Demirbağ, who has attracted interest from top Turkish clubs such as Beşiktaş and Fenerbahçe, remains absent from the Turkey national team, sparking public debate about his omission despite his strong performances in the transfer window.
