Galatasaray prepares for 144th rivalry match against Trabzonspor

Galatasaray is preparing for its 144th encounter with Trabzonspor, a rivalry spanning 52 years. In all competitions, Galatasaray has secured 66 wins compared to Trabzonspor’s 45, with 32 matches ending in draws. In their upcoming Süper Lig match, which marks their 107th league meeting, Galatasaray holds 47 wins to Trabzonspor’s 33.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk has maintained a strong record against Trabzonspor, recording 7 wins, 2 draws, and only 1 loss in 10 official matches. During this period, Galatasaray has scored 23 goals while conceding 8. However, the team is currently facing a challenging period regarding away performance; in 2026, Galatasaray has lost 4 of its 11 away league matches, marking the highest number of away defeats under Buruk’s management in a single calendar year.
