Galatasaray pursues Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Ibrahim Maza in €45‑90 million bid

Galatasaray has added 20‑year‑old Algerian international Ibrahim Maza to its transfer list. The midfielder, who currently plays for Bayer Leverkusen and is under contract there until 2030, is valued between €45 million and €90 million. In the 2023‑24 season he featured in 44 league matches for Leverkusen, scoring five goals and providing seven assists, while other reports cite 28 appearances with three goals and five assists.

The Turkish club is preparing to accelerate negotiations if the financial terms are met. Bayer Leverkusen is reported to be seeking €55‑70 million, and interest has also come from Atlético Madrid, FC Barcelona, Chelsea, Juventus, Premier‑League sides and Paris Saint‑Germain, with Manchester City previously linked to a €50 million offer.

Galatasaray’s move is part of a broader effort to strengthen its midfield ahead of upcoming challenges, targeting a young talent that clubs across Europe consider one of the continent’s most promising play‑makers.
