Simultaneously, Galatasaray is preparing a €20 million bid for Tottenham midfielder Pape Matar Sarr. The move for the 23-year-old is expected to depend on the potential departures of Galatasaray midfielders Mario Lemina or Lucas Torreira. Tottenham has reportedly placed Pape Matar Sarr on the transfer list as he seeks more playing time.

If the pursuit of Ismaila Sarr fails, Galatasaray has identified Ermedin Demirovic from Stuttgart as a contingency option, with a potential transfer fee of €20 million.
