Galatasaray eyes new striker as Icardi contract deadline passes
Galatasaray’s offer of €4 million to Argentine forward Mauro Icardi has expired without a response. Icardi, who is currently on holiday in the Maldives with his partner, has not indicated whether he will renew his contract, and the club has confirmed it will not increase its bid. The club’s president Dursun Özbek has also disclosed that no further negotiations are underway with interested clubs from Italy, Brazil or Argentina.
With Icardi’s silence, Galatasaray has prepared a “B‑plan” targeting Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. Reports suggest the Turkish side is ready to offer a €10 million net salary plus a €5 million seasonal performance bonus. The club is also monitoring Paris Saint‑Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani, valued at about €20 million, as an alternative attacking option.
