Galatasaray says matching Victor Osimhen's €75m transfer will be hard
Former Galatasaray vice‑president Abdurrahim Albayrak said that replicating the club’s record‑breaking €75 million (about N119 billion) signing of striker Victor Osimhen will be very difficult. Osimhen joined Galatasaray on a permanent deal in July 2025 after the team secured a domestic double in the 2024‑25 season, marking the biggest transfer in Turkish football history.
Albayrak noted strong interest in the forward from Saudi Pro League clubs and major European teams such as Barcelona, Real Madrid, Paris Saint‑Germain, Chelsea and Arsenal, and said the club’s ambition remains winning the Champions League. He added that while Galatasaray will continue to pursue quality signings, paying a similar fee again is unlikely in the near term, with Osimhen still under contract for three more years.
