Galatasaray seeks to offload Wilfried Singo amid injury struggles

Galatasaray management is moving to restructure its squad ahead of the January transfer window, primarily focusing on the departure of defender Wilfried Singo. Due to persistent injury issues, the 25-year-old Ivorian has played only 41 minutes across two appearances this season. The club has reportedly invited Singo’s manager to Istanbul to discuss a permanent sale or a loan move to reduce his €4.8 million annual salary burden.

Other roster adjustments include potential moves for captain İlkay Gündoğan, who has struggled to meet expectations in central midfield, and concerns regarding new signing El Chadaille Bitshiabu, who has been sidelined due to weight management issues. If Singo departs, the club intends to seek a new right-back to provide competition for Roland Sallai.
