Galatasaray settles €17.5m debt to Napoli to complete Victor Osimhen transfer

Galatasaray has paid the last €17.5 million owed to Napoli, finalising an €80 million commitment for striker Victor Osimhen (including €75 million compensation and a €5 million bonus). The payment clears the Turkish club’s obligations after the Nigerian forward’s first season in Turkey, in which he recorded 22 goals and eight assists in 33 matches.

Despite the completed deal, English Premier League side Chelsea is reported to be preparing a €130 million bid for Osimhen. Galatasaray’s president Dursun Özbek has publicly rejected any sale, calling the price “unthinkable”. The rivalry over the player highlights ongoing interest from Europe’s top leagues while Galatasaray aims to retain its key forward.
