Galatasaray shifts to budget-friendly forwards Jhon Duran and Aral Şimşir

Galatasaray, under coach Okan Buruk, is overhauling its attack ahead of the new season by focusing on low‑cost signings. The club has reached a principle agreement with 22‑year‑old Colombian striker Jhon Duran, whose loan is expected to cost about €5 million with no upfront fee, fitting the Turkish league’s under‑23 foreign‑player quota and giving the team tactical flexibility alongside Victor Osimhen.

At the same time, Galatasaray has turned to Denmark’s Midtjylland for national forward Aral Şimşir. The Turkish side is prepared to offer a €10 million transfer fee for the 24‑year‑old, whose recent record of 12 goals and 21 assists in 54 matches attracted attention. Earlier high‑profile targets such as Bruno Fernandes and Omar Marmoush were dropped because of hefty price tags and the Turkish Football Federation’s foreign‑player limits, prompting the club to prioritize affordable, high‑potential players.
