Galatasaray targets Benfica midfielder Richard Ríos

Galatasaray has entered the race to sign Colombian midfielder Richard Ríos from Benfica. The Turkish club has reportedly made contact to understand the terms of a potential negotiation for the 26-year-old, who is currently a key player for the Portuguese side.

Benfica is reportedly unwilling to release Ríos for less than 35 million euros. While Galatasaray is interested, they may need to sell current squad members to secure the necessary funds before making a formal offer. Other clubs monitoring the situation include Brighton in England and Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia.

If a sale is finalized, Benfica is considering Gustavo Puerta as a potential replacement. The increased competition in Benfica's midfield, following the arrival of João Palhinha, has provided the club with more flexibility regarding Ríos's future.
