Galatasaray targets Viktor Gyökeres amid January transfer plans
Galatasaray is actively monitoring the transfer market for the January window, with Swedish forward Viktor Gyökeres emerging as a potential target. Gyökeres, who joined Arsenal from Sporting for 67 million euros, has struggled to secure consistent playing time under Mikel Arteta, failing to score in five official appearances this season.
Due to his limited role, options for a loan move or permanent departure in January are being evaluated. Galatasaray, which has previously added high-profile players like Victor Osimhen and Mauro Icardi, is among the clubs tracking the striker's situation.
In addition to pursuing Gyökeres, Galatasaray management is planning to make three reinforcements during the winter transfer period to address criticisms regarding their summer activity. The club aims to strengthen its midfield with two players and its central defense with one additional signing.
