Galatasaray University student reports French visa rejection issues

A double-major student at Galatasaray University has reported facing repeated difficulties obtaining a French student visa for the Erasmus program at Sorbonne University. The student, who had qualified for both the program and a grant, applied for a visa three times through VFS Global.

The student alleges that while peers were able to secure visas using biometric photos featuring headscarves, their own applications were rejected. The student claims that after multiple attempts, they were ultimately told that a photo without a headscarf was required, leading to allegations of inconsistent treatment and religious bias in the visa process.
