Galatina hosts summer cultural events and traditional music festivals

The town of Galatina is hosting several cultural events to conclude the summer season. The “Ronde della Taranta” is scheduled for August 23, 2026, serving as the final stage of the itinerant La Notte della Taranta Festival. This event, promoted by the Municipality of Galatina and the Fondazione della Notte della Taranta, focuses on the traditional music and dance of pizzica and tarantism.

Additionally, the “Galatina dall’Alto” experience will take place on August 26. This guided tour offers participants access to private terraces, rooftops, and panoramic viewpoints throughout the historic center. The itinerary includes landmarks such as the Basilica of Santa Caterina d’Alessandria and the Church of Saints Peter and Paul, providing views of the Baroque architecture and the surrounding Salento landscape during sunset.
