GALAX launches RTX 5080 HOF Extreme with dual power connectors

GALAX has officially unveiled the RTX 5080 HOF Extreme, a flagship graphics card designed for enthusiasts and overclockers. A notable feature of this model is its dual 12V-2x6 (16-pin) power connector design. Contrary to speculation, the two connectors are not intended to be used simultaneously to increase power; instead, they serve as alternative routing options to provide users with greater flexibility for cable management within different chassis configurations. A magnetic cover is included to hide the unused port.

The card features a custom white PCB with a 20+4 phase digital power supply and includes eFuse protection to mitigate risks from abnormal current or voltage surges. It offers two BIOS modes: a Gaming mode with a 360W TGP and a Boost clock of 2,655 MHz, and an OC mode that unlocks a 400W TGP and a Boost clock of 2,805 MHz.

For aesthetics, the HOF Extreme is adorned with Swarovski crystals on both the front and back. The cooling solution utilizes a four-fan setup, consisting of three 102mm fans and one 92mm rear fan, supported by a large vapor chamber and eight nickel-plated heat pipes. The card is equipped with 16GB of GDDR7 memory.
