Galderma receives China approval for Relfydess
The Chinese National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) has approved Relfydess (relabotulinumtoxinA) for the temporary improvement of moderate-to-severe glabellar lines, or frown lines, in adults. This marks a significant expansion of Galderma’s injectable aesthetics portfolio in China.
Relfydess is a ready-to-use liquid neuromodulator developed using PEARL Technology. Unlike traditional products that require reconstitution, this formulation is designed for direct administration to ensure consistent dosing and ease of use.
The approval is supported by data from the global READY clinical program, which involved over 2,300 participants, as well as local Phase III clinical trials conducted in China. Clinical results indicated that some patients experienced visible improvements as early as the first day, with effects sustained for up to six months in certain analyses. The treatment demonstrated a favorable safety profile, with common adverse events including injection-site reactions, headache, and eyelid drooping.
