Galego fairs in Lugo and Cangas attract shoppers and vendors

The annual Feira de Ano in Gomeán, Lugo province, will be held on Sunday, 9 August, in the Carballeira de Gomeán. Organized by the neighbourhood association “O Salgueiriño” and supported by the Vice‑presidency of the Lugo Provincial Council, which contributed €5,000, the fair will showcase traditional rural activities such as livestock displays, falconry, Celtic pig handling, classic agricultural machinery, artisan demonstrations and live music, alongside a local food menu featuring empanada and Celtic‑style pork.

From 14 to 16 August, the XXI Feria de Oportunidades del Morrazo will take place in Cangas at the Alameda Nova. The event, organised by the Association of Merchants and Industries of Cangas (ACICA) and involving 28 retailers from Cangas, Bueu and Moaña, will offer discounted clothing, footwear, accessories, sports goods, electronics, books, toys and household items. The fair is timed to the back‑to‑school period, giving shoppers access to reduced‑price products before the new academic year begins.
