Galeria Krakowska closed following electrical failure

Galeria Krakowska in Krakow remains closed on Thursday, October 22, following an electrical switchgear failure in a technical room on Wednesday, October 21. The incident, which involved a fire in a technical area near the parking lot, prompted an evacuation of the shopping center and the intervention of firefighters. While the fire was extinguished using extinguishers and no injuries were reported, the resulting electrical malfunction has forced the closure of the commercial sections and internal parking lots.

Although the shopping center is closed, the underground pedestrian passage leading to the Krakow Main Railway Station (Dworzec Główny PKP) remains open and accessible. The external parking lot above the railway platforms is also operating without changes. Management has not yet announced a specific date for reopening and will issue a separate communication once the facility is ready to resume operations.
