Galeria Krakowska remains closed following fire

Galeria Krakowska in Krakow remains closed following a fire that occurred on Wednesday, October 21. The shopping center's management announced that the facility will not reopen on Saturday, October 24.

While most of the commercial area and internal parking lots remain inaccessible, the Hala Europejska section—which connects Pawia Street to the Krakow Main Railway Station—remains open, along with businesses located there. Additionally, the underground passage and the external parking lot located above the railway platforms are still available for use.

The extended closure is due to the necessity of conducting detailed inspections of the main electrical switchboard. Specialists are currently verifying that all installations are functioning safely and correctly. Management stated that a specific date for reopening will be provided in a subsequent announcement.
