Galicia authorities commit over €20 million to Ferrol port upgrades and €210 k for Tui and O Rosal projects

The Ferrol‑San Cibrao Port Authority will spend €19.76 million in 2027 on a programme that includes a new railway control and signalling system, the construction of a new external rail access, upgrades to mooring equipment and the refurbishment of the Fernández Ladreda quay, as well as a new security platform. The €5.8 million railway system will be co‑financed with EU FEDER funds and work is expected to finish within the year.

The Provincial Deputation of Pontevedra approved €210 000 of aid for the municipalities of Tui and O Rosal under the Plan +Provincia 2026‑2027. Tui will receive €70 000 to repair and improve about 410 m of municipal roads, including resurfacing, drainage and waste management. O Rosal will obtain more than €140 000 to cover its municipal electricity consumption.

Both initiatives are part of a broader effort by regional authorities to improve infrastructure and public services in Galicia.
