Galicia celebrates Festa do Miño in Tui and Titiriberia puppet festival in Rianxo

The town of Tui in Galicia will host the Festa do Miño on Saturday, 15 August. The evening‑long event will feature food stalls offering traditional Galician dishes such as tortilla, empanadillas, empanada, mini‑pizzas, croquetas and desserts, with prices from one to four euros. Live music will be provided by local groups including A Tu Ritmo, Fanfarria Taquikardia and Mekánica Rolling Band.

Meanwhile, the Festival de Títeres Tradicionais Titiriberia will take place in Rianxo from 18 to 23 August. Organized by the association Morreu o Demo with support from the municipal and regional authorities, the programme includes around thirty performances by puppet companies from Galicia, Portugal, Aragon, Andalusia, Catalonia, León and the Basque Country. Venues will be spread across the municipality, from the Campo de Arriba and the Auditorio Municipal to sites such as Taragoña, Leiro, Araño, Isorna and the Playa de Tanxil. The festival will present ten new productions, exhibitions by veteran troupes Trécola and Tanxarina, and a total of twenty‑seven shows.
