Galicia commuters protest deteriorating public transport services

Public transport deficiencies in Galicia have triggered protests in both Ferrol and Vigo. In Ferrol, approximately 300 people gathered at the Xunta building to demand a comprehensive investigation into road transport services. Protesters, supported by various political groups, described the situation as a persistent crisis affecting thousands, citing issues such as broken air conditioning and overcrowding that forces students to travel standing up.

In Vigo, tensions rose at the bus station due to a lack of available seats on the line to Pontevedra. Over a hundred travelers reported being unable to board scheduled services, particularly during peak school hours. Passengers criticized the ticketing system and questioned the effectiveness of reinforcement services, leading to formal complaints and incidents requiring police notification.
