Galicia faces long virtual queues for Bono Concilia subsidy applications

The opening of the application period for the 'Bono Concilia' subsidy in Galicia has caused significant technical difficulties due to high demand. On Wednesday morning, users faced virtual queues exceeding one hour as thousands attempted to access the Xunta de Galicia's electronic office.

By 10:30 AM, some users were assigned numbers exceeding 7,000, with wait times estimated at over an hour. The high volume of simultaneous requests is attributed to the subsidy's 'non-competitive' processing system, which awards aid based on the order of entry, prompting families to apply as soon as the window opened.

The Bono Concilia is designed to assist Galician families with children born between January 1, 2013, and December 31, 2022. The funds are intended to cover costs related to childcare, summer camps, and playrooms, covering up to 75% of services (and up to 100% for specific families). Maximum amounts reach 500 euros per family unit. The application period remains open until October 9 at 2:00 PM.
