Galicia invests in rural infrastructure upgrades in Crecente and Bueu
The Galician regional government allocated nearly €73,000 to improve basic services in the rural town of Crecente, Pontevedra. The funding will modernise street lighting, enhance accessibility and waste collection at the San Pedro residence, and is part of a broader €5 million programme that supports 53 municipalities under the 2023‑2027 PAC Strategic Plan.
In the neighbouring municipality of Bueu, architects María Fandiño and Míriam García are preparing an advance of the master plan for the Banda do Río neighbourhood. The draft, expected in early September, will be opened to a public consultation period of up to one month, allowing residents to submit suggestions before the plan is finalised later in 2026. The plan aims to address flood‑risk areas and align with regional development policies promoted by the Xunta.
