Galicia local governments approve road funds and reject river‑repair pact
The Deputation of A Coruña approved an additional €60,975.47 for the third phase of the DP‑3612 road works linking Aneiros to A Cabana in Ferrol. The extra money will address technical problems discovered during construction, widen sidewalks, improve accessibility and increase road safety, bringing total investment on the 1.7‑km stretch to about €1.6 million.
The municipal council of Cambre voted against a proposed €870,000 agreement with Augas de Galicia to remediate deficiencies along the Mero river, including a footbridge, banks and other structures. Opposition parties condemned the deal as an undue long‑term commitment and suggested it was driven by political motives, calling for a renegotiation of the terms.
