Galicia Sur Equality Observatory discusses Nerea Pallares' novel
The Galicia Sur Health Research Institute (IISGS) Equality Observatory held a book club session focused on the novel ‘Punto de araña’ by Nerea Pallares. The event, held at Café Vitruvia, featured a discussion between the author and Soledad Torres, a researcher from the University of Vigo and secretary general of the Association of Women Researchers and Technologists (AMIT).
The conversation bridged literature and science, using the novel’s themes of female connections and mutual support networks to reflect on the importance of collective action. Participants discussed how such networks can promote equality of opportunity and increase the visibility of women within the scientific field.
