Galicia Vive+ explores the science of longevity and healthy aging
The collective work ‘Galicia Vive+’ explores the science of longevity, using the high life expectancy levels in Galicia as a natural laboratory to understand how to increase healthy years of life. Coordinated by Dr. María Pilar Rodríguez Ledo, president of the Spanish Society of General and Family Physicians (SEMG), the book brings together specialists in genetics, medicine, immunology, and behavioral sciences.
The project aims to spark a national discussion on addressing aging through scientific, sanitary, social, and preventive perspectives. The presentation of the work will involve various institutional representatives, including officials from the Parliament of Galicia and the Ministry of Health, as well as leadership from the Hospital Universitario La Paz.
