Galician biotech firms strengthen ties with North Carolina

Galician biotechnology companies and organizations are strengthening strategic ties with the North Carolina life sciences ecosystem through the Galicia-North Carolina Life Sciences & Innovation Mission 2026. The delegation included representatives from the Life Sciences Technological Business Cluster (Bioga), the Galician Institute for Economic Promotion (Igape), and three specialized biotech firms: BFlow (Santiago), KeyBiological (Vigo), and Plexus (Compostela).

This mission follows a continuous effort to position Galicia as a reference bio-region in the international market, a relationship that has been maintained since 2019. During the trip, the delegation visited Raleigh, Greenville, and several inland counties, including Johnston and Nash. In Raleigh, meetings were held with the Bezos Centre for Sustainable Protein to explore new avenues for collaboration in life sciences and biotechnology.
