Galician casinos triple revenue following expansion

Casinos in Galicia have tripled their gross gaming revenue since 2019, according to the Annual Gaming Report published by the Spanish Ministry of Social Rights, Consumption and 2030 Agenda. In 2019, the casinos in A Toxa and A Coruña reported gross revenues of 3.5 million euros. This figure has risen to 10.9 million euros over the last six years.

The growth follows the expansion of gaming halls under Galician regulations, which allow one large casino per province but permit an additional satellite room within the same province. Owners Luckia and Cirsa opened the Casino de Vigo in 2020, despite pandemic-related restrictions and capacity limits that affected the industry until late 2021. By 2022, the impact of these new facilities was evident, with gross revenues reaching 5.4 million euros.
