Galician festivals showcase international folklore and arts

Various cultural festivals are taking place across Galicia, featuring international folklore and diverse artistic programming.

In A Coruña, the María Pita festivities include a parade of international bands and a free concert by former Spandau Ballet vocalist Tony Hadley. The event also features comic-related activities, including an exhibition by animator David García and a meeting with Cuban artist Danay Dana.

In the province of Ourense, the XLI Xornadas de Folclore brought international dance to Xinzo de Limia and O Carballiño. In Xinzo, performances included delegations from Armenia, Mexico, and Senegal. Meanwhile, O Carballiño hosted artists from Ecuador, Serbia, and Taiwan, showcasing a wide range of global rhythmic traditions.
