Galician municipalities announce new training and workshop programs
Local municipalities in Galicia are launching new educational initiatives. The Narón City Council has opened registration for a vocational training program focused on Occupational Risk Prevention (ORP). The course offers 20 places and will run from October 5 to November 6 at the Irmás Froilaz Municipal Training Center. The 107-hour curriculum is designed to improve employment prospects in the metal, construction, and naval sectors, including specialized modules on naval environmental safety, working at heights, and confined spaces.
In Neda, the City Council, in collaboration with the Galician School of Health for Citizens, is organizing a first aid workshop specifically for childhood emergencies. Scheduled for October 19 at the Casa da Cultura, the workshop aims to teach parents how to respond to situations such as seizures, respiratory difficulties, and choking. The session will be led by a medical professional from the Public Foundation of Health Emergencies of Galicia-061.
