Galician Parliament to approve updated Linguistic Normalization Plan

The Galician Parliament is set to approve an updated General Plan for Linguistic Normalization during its upcoming plenary session on October 6 and 7. The plan follows a recent agreement between the PSOE and PP.

Key components of the updated plan include lifting the veto on teaching science subjects in Galician, provided linguistic balance is maintained in other subjects. The initiative also aims to increase the budget for linguistic policy and provide support for the audiovisual sector and Galician language integration in technology.

The process will be fast-tracked under parliamentary regulations, allowing for the presentation of resolution proposals. Once approved, the plan will be implemented through legislation accompanying the regional budgets.
