Galicia's municipal sailing schools fill summer camps in Vilagarcía and Vigo

The municipal sailing school in Vilagarcía de Arousa offered 80 places over two weeks for children born between 2010 and 2018. All spots were taken within hours of opening, with 40 slots per morning session. The five‑day program includes windsurf, three days of sailing, and a final excursion to Cortegada, using a mix of small boats and larger vessels.

Meanwhile, the Real Club Náutico de Vigo relaunched its summer camps across its Vigo and Nigrán facilities. The Vigo campus runs a nautical camp for ages 4‑12 from late June to early September, while the Nigrán site offers a multi‑sport camp for ages 3‑14 from late June to late August. Each week sees over a hundred children participating, with special discounts for grandparents who help with childcare. The camps feature swimming, tennis, paddle, sailing, workshops and excursions, providing a comprehensive summer recreation programme for local families.
