Galicia's Xunta awards contracts for 145 public homes in Navia

The Xunta de Galicia, represented in Vigo by territorial delegate Ana Ortiz, announced the licensing of construction works for 41 new public housing units on two parcels of the San Paio de Navia development. The tender, part of a wider batch of 145 homes approved in Navia over three weeks, involves an investment of more than €30 million, with the specific contract valued at €8.885 million including VAT. The project will deliver two buildings comprising 41 apartments, 41 garages and 41 storage spaces, designed to be accessible, bright, and energy‑efficient.

Ana Ortiz noted that between March and April the Xunta had tendered almost 300 new public homes, totaling €63.6 million. Navia currently hosts 927 public housing units at various stages, with 309 already under construction. The tender will be published on the Galicia Public Contracts Platform, and firms can submit offers until 13 July.
